I am an urban ecologist focused on the effects anthropogenic forces have on biodiversity, on the ground. Across systems; plants, insect, fish, and birds, I use field-collected data by myself and others to understand how processes such as increasing urbanization, habitat fragmentation, aquatic shipping traffic and infrastructure development may destabilize native communities and introduce invasive species.
